College Tech Prep in North Carolina prepares students for employment and continuous learning through rigorous, challenging, seamless and integrated academic and technical studies, and leads to the completion of a high school education and a two-year postsecondary education certificate, registered apprenticeship, associate and/or a four-year baccalaureate degree.

Updated Articulation Agreement for high school courses taken after July 1, 2012.

Sharing Promising Practices in College Tech Prep. Create a video podcast to showcase one of your College Tech Prep activities or projects and share it with others.

The definition of a Secondary College Tech Prep Student changed on July 1, 2010, to "a secondary student who is enrolled in or has completed a second-level (starred) CTE course." Look for the asterisk (star) by the course in one of the following two documents.

  1. List of CTE courses for students who entered the ninth grade prior to Fall 2009.
  2. List of CTE courses for students entering the ninth grade Fall 2009 or later.
